Kaiserslautern coach Marco Kurz believes his side thoroughly deserved their 2-1 win over Schalke in a controversial encounter on Saturday.
Both sides were reduced to 10 men for debatable decisions, but Kurz thinks his team dealt well with the challenges thrown their way.
"Not even the referee could stop us," he told Sky television.
"We were the dominant team. We did not let the dubious penalty decision throw us back.
"I believe there cannot be any doubt about who was the better team here, and that is why we deserved this win."
